Cattails are an amazing and abundant plant life that can be used not only for baskets but is also an amazing source of vitamins and minerals.

Come join Georgie in this one day beginners class to learn more about this amazing plant as well as hands on help through the process of basket making where you will complete a basket to take home similar to the ones in the photos.

You will learn:

  • Plating method
  • Twining method
  • Decorative elements
  • How to finish a rim
  • How to go from square to round.
  • As well as talking about how baskets were used in history and the importance of knowing this skill in today’s modern world.
