Perennial Vegetable Walk at Raven's Roots Permaculture Farm (FREE)

  • Raven's Roots Naturalist School 25368 Old Day Creek Road Sedro-Woolley, WA, 98284 United States (map)

In the west, our diets mainly consist of annual vegetables and very few perennials. The only perennial vegetables that I typically find at the market are asparagus, rhubarb and globe artichoke. Perennial vegetables are significantly higher in nutrients and antioxidants than the annuals and they will be much more resilient with the changes in climate that are coming.

Join Gabe on a 2 hour walk of the Raven's Roots gardens and we'll look at the over 60 perennial vegetables that we currently have growing. We'll discuss what grows well here in Skagit county and how to grow them. We will meet at the main garden at 10am.

We ask that you please RSVP for the walk so we can anticipate who will be coming. You can RSVP by clicking here.
