One year ago we helped create a group called the Skagit Barter Potluck (it's on Facebook if you'd like to join - the link is at the bottom). The purpose of the group is to bring together the local community once per month to trade goods, skilled labor, and to share food and network. Each month, the potluck will be held at a different location in Skagit county. Anything can be traded (including items that you haven't made yourself) and the only rule is that there cannot be any cash exchanged.
On January 5, we’ll be hosting the one year anniversary of the Skagit Barter Potluck at Raven's Roots Naturalist School in Sedro-Woolley. In addition to the eating and trading, we will also be hosting skill shares as well (during the trading portion of the evening). Gabe will be hosting a biochar workshop and we are looking for 2 or 3 others to offer up a skill to share. Contact me here at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to teach a skill. We will have plenty of indoor space for everyone to display their items but you'll need to bring your own table since we only have a few.
We will be hosting a bonfire after the event so feel free to stick around and play music and share some laughs. This one is going to be epic and you won't want to miss it. There will also be ice skating.
